PLN and why its cool

 

After reviewing the readings on PLN I am intrigued at the freedom a PLN can obtain. A personal learning network allows an individual to decipher what network works best for them. It also allows individuals to take there personal learning into their own hands. The thing I like the most about PLN is that social media such as Facebook and Twitter can be included as a PLN. The only thing that confuses me is how one would declare the knowledge they learn on a PLN to be truly factual or not. I feel like I personally use social media as a resource for basic information and keeping up with politics and other sporting events. However, I question where one draws the line on what information is acceptable to obtain from social media and what is not.
