Reaction to OLP ...so far anyways
I am by no means a technology woman. However, I do enjoy the resources that technology provides. I am a fan of Twitter so adding that into the class was fun. I pondered using my personal twitter for the class or making a new one specifically to use just for OLP. I realized this class was about networking as much as it is about learning technological tools. By expanding my network other opportunities could arise in the future. Life really is about who you know more than what you know, so adding everyone in the class to our social media platforms was a really good idea. Linked in is a resource that is meant for networking, but sometimes other platforms bring forward different conversations and opportunities. It is also interesting to learn about your classmates using twitter. This will sound so creepy, but you really can learn a lot about someone based on who they follow and what they post. I am also coming around to this whole blogging thing. Since starting this class I have also made a Youtube channel in hopes to maybe start blogging. I love to travel and have always wanted to vlog (video blog) but just never got the courage. I also found myself thinking " what in the world would I talk about?". Since reading other peoples blogs, I have realized that it is okay to talk about literally anything. Being yourself is interesting enough.
Hey there Tristen!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a Twitter account before this class and never had the intentions of getting one. I am very new to it but I have found some great leadership and technology pages to follow. However, I agree with you; It's not what you know, it's who you know. Therefore it is good to challenge myself and step out of the comfort zone to expand my networking. I love the you are vlogging. I would love to have something interesting enough to vlog about hahah. You said it perfectly with creating your posts. Being yourself is interesting enough.
